Emotional Freedom is Just a Few Taps Away!

I was in an EFT session a few days back with a client, and they revealed their fears about not being able to make their next home mortgage payment.  After tapping on the fear, we were taken back in time to their childhood, and discovered a profound and limiting belief…

1.  They discovered that they were always trying to please their mother, to “make” her happy because she wasn’t happy.  They found out that they didn’t feel good enough to do that, which lead to the feeling of being inadequate.

2.  The feeling of inadequacy about pleasing their mom was linked to the feeling of inadequacy of providing for their family.

3.  We tapped on this inadequacy, which led us to the limiting belief.  Watch the video, you’ll be surprised by the emotional link and belief that we discovered….

We’ve all heard that exercise, relaxation, meditation, support systems, etc. are great ways to manage our stress.  Stress management is pumped up in our society as a means to cope with the day to day grind of work, family, and society.  But I’m of the belief that stress management is just a way to avoid the real issues in our lives, just another dysfunctional distracter in a long list of them to help us cope with our suppressed feelings.

As you may already know, I am a HUGE fan of the book The Secret Language of Feelings by Calvin D. Banyan, as well as The Sedona Method by Hale Dwoskin.  Both of these books present unique insights into how our feelings work, as well as methods for dealing with the real issues that we are suppressing (the former will be dealt with today).

I learned the meaning of life while I was in an EFT session with my mentor and coach, Sid Harris.  The words sunk in and haven’t left me since, and if anything, the truth has only grown.  I encourage you to really open your heart and mind and explore what I have to say on this video.  Yes, the meaning of life is really found in a fun children’s song, and the simplicity might just be the biggest hurdle to overcome.   Enjoy!

So what did you think? Do you agree, is the meaning of life really that simple? I look forward to your comments, be well!

Addictions are an interesting animal, one that I do not worry much about.  Meh, it’s just an addiction, all it does is point out that there is an area of your life that is crying out for attention, much like a temper tantrum would.  In any addiction cycle, there is always two phases, the I’m all good because I’m not doing it phase (control phase), and the oh crap, I suck and am a horrible person because I just did something horrible phase (release phase).  Of course, sandwiched in between the two is the “evil” deed, or the binge.

I had an amazing time with my children when they were with me this summer.  But nothing is better than getting the opportunity to connect with your kiddos emotionally when they’re struggling through a tough time.

In this video, I speak about an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) session that I had with my son while he was in town. He was creating a bunch of arguments with his sister, and I could tell that he was doing it out of hurt of some sort. So we sat down and had a great EFT session together. EFT can and will work with your children, so you can start helping them to remove the limiting beliefs now while they’re still living with you!

I just love Margaret Lynch, her material is very fresh and powerful! Her methodology with EFT and tapping is very intuitive. I also recommend her program, “The Secret to Intentional Wealth”.  She first turned me on to the book, “The Secret Language of Feelings” by Calvin D. Banyan, in a video over at the Tapping Insiders Club (there should be a link to the club from here).

Hale Dwoskin at the Sedona Method, has just released his new DVD, Letting Go.  I will be attending a screening of it at my close friend and mentor Lynne Miller’s home here in Salt Lake City, UT, and am excited to see what all of the buzz is about.  In fact, I hope to have Lynne Miller guest blog one day soon and share her unique insights into emotions and feelings, and just how easy “letting go” can be.
